Feelings

Chapter 8

 

After a few hours of “exploring” the girls came back with a butt load of shopping bags ranging from Bebe, Guess, Louis Vuitton, Victoria Secret (of course), and everywhere in-between. SB saw them come back in first he was waiting for Nicki because Wayne wanted to go ahead and get to work on her third Mixtape.

“So much for exploring”

“Shut up Safaree! We did explore we just made a few pit stops”

“Well go put your bags up Wayne wants you to get to work on the tape tonight”

“Already? Man today has been a long day. *looks at watch* and its ALREADY 8 PM!?”

Nicki heads upstairs to her room and puts all her bags down she figured she would put everything away later. “Whelp time to get to work” she said to herself well at least she thought she did.

“You excited to be working with Wayne?” said a voice behind Nicki who in return turned around so quick to see Drake standing at the door but in the process she knocked a flower vase off the nightstand by her bed and it shattered to pieces.

“Shit!” exclaimed Nicki

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you. But don’t worry about that I’ll clean it up for you later. But I just had a question.” Continued Drake

“Umm ok….” Nicki said while playing with her hair something she did when she was nervous

“I uh…was wondering uh….If you would like to go to dinner with me tomorrow?”

*silence*

“Or lunch or even breakfast if dinner is too much I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable” he was nervous too

“Sure! I would LOVE to go to dinner with you!!”

“Ok then! How about I pick you up from your room *laughs* at 8 tomorrow night?’

“Ok sounds good =D but I have to get down to the studio I'm sure Wayne is wondering where I am”

“Oh yeah that’s right here I’ll walk you down then come back and clean this mess up”

“Ok thanks”

Nicki and Drake walk down the stairs to get to the studio making small talk when Nicki can feel someone staring at her so she turns her head and sees Trina and Shanell staring nodding in approval. Nicki just smiles and laughs while shaking her head.

“What’s funny?” ask Drake

“Oh nothing.” Nicki replied innocently

After they walk down the basement stairs they finally arrive at the studio. Safaree is sitting in the chair waiting for Nicki yet again and he sees her hug Drake. Nicki walks to Safaree who is giving her the dirtiest look possible.

“The hell you lookin at?”

“Where were you? Took you long enough to get down here”

“What’s your problem?”

“Never mind. I’m sorry I'm just tired.” Safaree says while giving her an apologetic look

“Yeah me too” Nicki says while yawning

“Well come on Wayne’s waiting. Go lay down this track then you can go to bed.”

“Alright you got my pen and paper?”

“Yep right here!”

Safaree hands Nicki her pen and Yellow Pad and Nicki walks into the booth.

“Finally cheeks has arrived” said Wayne in a joking tone

“Yep here I am so wah ya got for me!?”

“I’m gonna play this beat and I want you to just write down what comes to mind then I want you to spit it for me and we’ll tweak it here and there then I’ll add my verse to it”

“Ok sounds like a plan.”

Wayne plays the beat(“I Gets Crazy”) and Nicki sits in the booth nodding her head along at first then she starts writing and repeating what she writes out loud to make sure it sounds good coming out. After playing the beat 2 more times Nicki finally has 2 verses written and is ready to record.

“Alright go ahead and lay it down” Wayne says to Nicki after telling the AV people to get the equipment ready to record.

“I just came out of the muthafuckin old school
got my Mac notebook with the pro tools…”

“Yooooo that was DOPE!” Yells SB in the background “Like did you hear that that was crazy”

“lol sit down Faree’”

“Alright cheeks come out and imma spit my verse”

“2 3rd floor hospital gown niggas is doors

and I knock niggas down”

Nicki sat there with her mouth wide open *pauz* she finally got to see how Wayne works!

“Yo Wayne you gon have to teach me how to do that”

“Do what Cheeks?”

“Lay down a verse and not even right anything down”

“Oh *laughs* don’t worry in time you’ll learn. Shoot you might even come up with a new “cooler” way to do it”

*laughs* “Yeah I doubt that Wayne”

The three of them sit around in the studio finishing up the track and keeping small talk when they finally finished the whole track. It was a process of 3 hours.

“Well finally done with that one” says Nicki “I'm beat”

“Ok well imma let you and SB go to bed now and we can work again tomorrow”

“Ok but I’m a morning person can we do it in the morning like around 8/9ish?” ask Nicki

“Yeah that sounds good”

“Ok good besides Drake asked me to dinner tomorrow night”

*laughs* “Be careful cheeks that man is a real good smooth talker”

“Haha Wayne I’ll be fine”

Nicki and Wayne were talking about this all SB did was sit there staring at Nicki he didn’t know what to do with himself. He just knew he had to find a way to show Nicki how he really felt.

“Well I’m gone” said Safaree getting up

“Ok wait Faree. I'm coming with you”

“Ok” he mumbled

“Goodnight Wayne! Goodnight tech people!”

The walk up to their bedrooms was silent and Nicki was wondering why she knew something was bothering Safaree and she’d figure it out.

“Faree…? Are you ok? Is something bothering you? Because you’re awfully quite”

“No Nic I’m fine” Snapped Safaree while walking into his room and closing the door

Nicki stood there shocked with her eyes slightly waling up “What the hell is his problem” she thought to herself then she turned and went into her room and closed the door and got ready for bed.

“Man I didn’t mean to snap on her like that its just it makes me mad that she cant see how much I love her and it makes me jealous that she’s going on a date with Drake” Safaree was babbling internally for quite a few mins. Then he finally decided to call Nicki’s best friend and see if she could help him out in any way to show Nicki how he really felt.
