Getting to Know You

Chapter 7

As Nicki was in her new room she decided this would be the perfect time to call her mom. She went to her red Louis bag to look for her phone. “Wow 5 missed calls” *shrugs* “I’ll check em later” she says to her self then she dialed her moms number. *rings*

“Hello”

“KIAH!! I miss you lamb chop! Where’s mom?”

“Hey Nicki, she’s upstairs. Where are you?”

“Never mind that right now just go get mom I gotta talk to her”

“Ugh no one ever tells me anything”

“Aw lamb chop you know I love you and I’ll tell you after I talk to mommy. Ok?”

*sigh* “Ok Nicki”

2 mins later Mama Maraj gets on the phone

“Hey baby”

“Hey mom!!! Guess what!!”

“What is it Hun”

“I got signed to Young Money!! Ya know with Lil Wayne?’

“No I don’t know this “Lil Wayne” and what is Young Money Onika?”

“Lil Wayne is this awesome rapper and he signed me to his group Young Money it’s full of rappers and one singer and then me!! I’m in Atlanta right now…but I kinda moved out her….I’m sorry I didn’t tell you first I just got really excited and caught up in the moment  I guess I forgot =/”

“Its ok Onika just make sure you come back to see me ASAP ok and keep me and your brothers a room and keep me up dated on everything and I want to meet this Wayne character.”

“Ok ok mommy in due time all that will happen”

After about a 40 min conversation with her mom SB came in the room and whispered 20 mins to her. She mouthed “ok” back.

“Well mommy I have to go now time to start getting to work. I love you ok! And tell Kiah I’ll call him later”

“Ok I love you too and Onika...?”

“Yes mommy”

“Be safe ok you’re my only daughter and I couldn’t stand it if anything happened to you so stay safe for me ok?”

“Ok mommy now I love you and Ill call later bye!”

“Bye baby love you too!”

Nicki hung up and fixed her clothes a lil and her and Safaree made their way down to the basement. When they got down to the studio they saw a bunch of people sitting around in the chairs and the couches.

“Ok people this here is Cheeks also known as Nicki Minaj and her best friend/Hype man Safaree whom she calls SB” said Wayne introducing Nicki and Safaree

“Yeah SB means Scaffbeezy” explained Nicki

Nicki and Safaree heard a bunch of “Heys” and “Hi’s” and one “How you doing sweets” coming from the boy with dreads who looked idk about 13.

“Hi you guys said Nicki back”

“Ok so let me introduce you to everyone one by one” said Wayne

“This here is T-Streetz, Mack Maine, Guda Gudda, Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee, Shanell who I know you have been dying to meet” laughed lil Wayne Nicki just smiled and nodded.

“Then we have Jay Millz, Tyga, and this is Trina she isn’t in YM she just never seems to go home. Everyone laughed and Trina mean mugged Wayne. Last but not least we have the smooth man Drizzy Drake.”

“That’s the one I saw earlier” Nicki thought to her self while looking at him and smiling

“You have a nice smile beautiful” said Drake to Nicki who in return just blushed and looked away. SB was starting to become a little angry. But he just shook it off

“Ok well now that you’ve met everyone lets get down to business” said Wayne clapping his hands together.

After about an hour and a half of discussing contracts and everything. Wayne had decided that since he had just got Nicki he didn’t want her to put an album out yet he wanted to build her buzz first so he decided he would help her finish her third Mixtape and have her go on the I Am Music tour with him to build her buzz and get her used to performing in front of big crowds even though she had been performing at different clubs and schools here and there this was a wider audience and he wanted to see if she was fit for it.

“So everything sounds good cheeks?”

“Yep sounds good Mr. President”

“And SB you will get to be with Nicki all the time to and I will let you perform with her on stage during the tour. Since I see that you two are like a package deal.” Said Wayne

After their lil meeting Wayne had to make some calls and he decided to lay down some tracks so Nicki and SB decided to go mingle with everyone else. After about 15 mins of looking for everyone (it’s a big house) they found everyone in the game room playing Wii, kinect, pool and foosball.

 Shanell walked up to Nicki and SB first then Tyga. Nicki went with Shanell and Trina to the mini spa

And SB went with Tyga and hung out with all the guys.

“So Nicki!! I’m excited there’s another girl!! That’s why Trina’s always here b/c I was the only girl and I need another girl around sometimes. But now I got you and you live here!!” Said Shanell excited

“Oh word so you just gonna drop me now that you got another” laughed Trina

“No fool you know I would never do that but now at least I won’t have to complain to you all the time” said Shanell

“Thank the good Lord!” Said Trina while looking up to the ceiling Nicki just laughed

“You two are a trip I think it’s gonna be fun being around you two a lot” said Nicki

“Bitch you know it!” exclaimed Shanell

“So are you and Safaree? Right” began Trina

“Yeah that’s right what about him?”

“Are you two together? Because my boy Drake was talking about you he thinks you’re really cute and he’s gonna try and talk to you. So just a heads up.” Explained Trina

“Oh really!” said Nicki while smiling and bouncing in her seat a little bit. Even though she was excited about that she still couldn’t forget that kiss her and SB had shared and how it made her feel. “No me and Safaree aren’t together he’s just my best friend we never go anywhere without each other.” Said Nicki

“Aww that’s cute” Said Trina and Shanell together

“So what is there to do in Atlanta exactly?” asked Nicki

“Well why don’t we go out and explore and show you around?” suggested Trina

“Yeah that sounds fun!!” said Nicki

“Alright then lets go.” Said Shanell

Getting Settled

Chapter 6

As Nicki and SB walked in the house behind Dream Nicki was still mean mugging Safaree but she could tell he wasn’t gonna look back at her so she decided to let it go for now. “Hey Nickster!” said a very chipper Wayne said walking towards where Nicki and Safaree were standing and of course he had that infamous Styrofoam cup in his hand. Nicki just smiled and shook her head.

“Hey Wayne! This place is A-Mazing!!”

“Yeah welcome to Young Money World Nickelodeon”

“Smh you and all these Nicknames”

“Yeah but come on let me show you where everything is”

“Ok legoo!” exclaimed Nicki

The three of them first walked down to the basement and in there was the in home studio.

Wayne also showed them the 2 kitchens and the all the bathrooms and the living rooms and game room and everything else you can imagine. Then the three of them went to the bedrooms.

“Ok so up here is where the rooms are. There’s the east wing, the west wing and the south wing.” Explained Wayne

“Jeesh that’s a lot of wings” laughed Nicki

“Ok cheeks you and Safaree are gonna be down the south wing along with Shanell.” Said Wayne

“OH YEAH! I heard about her!! I HAVE to meet her!” exclaimed Nicki

“Okay okay slow down Nic I gotta show you and Safaree your rooms.” Said Wayne

“Oh so we aren’t sharing a room!” asked an excited Safaree

“Nah nigga you get yo own room” Said Wayne in a very cocky tone

“That’s whats up I thought I would have to share since Nicki’s the artist” said SB

“Nah I gotchu but anyway Nic this is your room. I had people start on it right when I decided to meet with you. So I hope you like it”

Wayne opened the door and Nicki was floored all she could do was gasp

“WOW Wayne this is amazing!!”

 “and you got your own bathroom go check it out” said Wayne

“OK!” yelped an excited Nicki

 "This is all sooooooooooooo amazing! Thanks Wayne for everything!" Nicki said hugging Wayne

"You're welcome cheeks!" said Wayne hugging her back.

 “Hey Safaree go ahead and see your room Imma be in here for a min” yelled Nicki

"Well meet me downstairs in the studio in an hour so we can go over everything and meet everyone" Wayne told Nicki

“Alight SB your room is right next to Nicki’s and you have your own bathroom too.” Explained Wayne “I wasn’t sure what your favorite color was but in a lot of the pictures I saw you and Nicki in you were wearing a lot of reds, whites, and blacks so I hope this is good for you. I didn’t really have much time for your room either b/c I didn’t know you would be coming along. But here it is” Wayne said while opening the door.

“Damn! Well slap yo mama and say it aint so. This room is fcking DOPE!!” said Safaree

“Well I'm glad you and cheeks like everything ill let you guys take it all in and explore but remind Nic I need her to meet me in the studio in an hour and she’ll meet everyone there and then we can talk about everything. Said Wayne and with that he left

“This is gonna be a fun ride” Safaree said to himself

Young Money World

Chapter 5

“Are you Miss Onika Maraj?” said the ruff gruff voice

“Um y’yes.” Said a nervous Nicki

“Ok Wayne sent me over here to show you how to get to the house.” Said the block. Nicki’s face instantly lit up and she jumped up and down a lil like a kid.

“I’m dream and also as you become a bigger artist Wayne assigned me as your body guard.” Said Dream

“Wait so I get a bodyguard!” said and excited Nicki

“Yes you do” laughs Dream “So show me where your car is and Ill meet you over there in my car and you can follow me to the house.” Said Dream

Nicki and Safaree walked out of the mall and told Dream where the car was and he nodded and walked away and Nicki and SB walked to their rental. Nicki’s feet were already hurting from the heels so she took them off right when she got in the car. SB turned on the radio and they both started doing some kind of dance in their seats because they were excited to finally be meeting everyone. About 5 mins later a nice black SUV pulled up behind them and they assumed it was Dream so they followed him out of the parking lot.

“That is a nice ass truck” said Safaree while following it “Imma buy me a red lambo once you hit it big. Ya know considering imma be your hype man and all. It doesn’t come cheap.” Said Safaree.

“Nigga please lmao” Nicki said with an ignorant tone while laughing.

Nicki and SB kept some small talk going as they were driving when they realized every house they were passing was getting bigger than the last and not just a little bit bigger but A LOT bigger.

“Damn is this where the house is? I could get used to this shit” Said Safaree

They sat there driving and taking it all in. Then Dream slowed down and turned down a road. Well they thought it was a rode but as they were driving down it they saw the biggest house they had ever seen in their lives. “Wow” Nicki and SB both said in unison.

 They came to a stop and got out of the car. Nicki was looking around but then her eyes stopped on these three men-boys playing football on the grass in front of the house. Two of them looked like teens but one of them looked around her age and he looked mighty fine and a lil familiar. “Mmm…who is that?” Nicki thought out loud to herself still staring. SB followed her stare and got a lil jealous at what she was staring at so he grabbed her arm a little too roughly and pulled her away to walk into the house.

“The hell!!” yelled Nicki but SB just ignored her.

ATL

Chapter 4

2 hours later Nicki and SB arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. They went down to the baggage area and got all their bags. After they got everything they walked to the Enterprise center to rent a car. After they got the car and everything (you know the car is nice because SB picked it) squared away they figured they’d go to the mall for a little bit to eat and get some new clothes to meet Young Money in. Nicki picked out a really cute fitted hot pink dress

  and some ivory heels with silver spike things on them. 

 SB already had on his pink "I Wanna Minaj” shirt and some jeans, shoes and fitted that matched. After Nicki paid they went to the bathroom so Nicki could change in the new clothes. While Nicki changed SB called Wayne and told them where they were and everything. He said he would send someone to come pick them up in about half an hour or so. After Nicki finished they went to go eat in the food court. They got their food and went to sit down and eat.

“So Nic you ready to meet the YM crew?” asked Safaree

“Yeah I guess I am. I heard they got this dope singer named Shanell. She’s the only girl right now so I think we’ll hit it off good!” said Nicki then she stopped and looked at SB with wide eyes.

“Ya know I still haven’t told my mom all this! I guess I was too excited I forgot. She is back home in Trinidad visiting though so I haven’t talked to her in a few days.” Said Nicki

“Well I'm sure when you call her ASAP she will be happy for you and you know Micaiah and Jelani are gonna wanna come visit to mostly Caiah though. So guess when you get a house you gotta have extra rooms for the three of them.” Said SB

Just then someone tapped Nicki’s shoulder. She turned around with an annoyed expression on her face but that changed as soon as she saw what was behind her.

What to do?

Chapter 3

Nicki put her hand on Safaree’s chest softly just to break the kiss she knew they shouldn’t be doing this at least not out here.

“I'm sorry Nic…I don’t know what I was doing I ju-” started Safaree

“It’s ok. Come on lets just get back to the hotel get our stuff and get to the airport.” Said Nicki

They rode back to the hotel in silence got out in silence and made it back to the room in silence. Nicki went to her room and started packing with the door open. While Safaree made the call to the airport while watching Nicki put all her things away. After he got off the phone he went to his room and started putting his things away while thinking about what had just happened. “Man I really felt something there but I guess she doesn’t feel the same way. Well I know we’re gonna have to talk about it sooner or later to clear the air.” Safaree thought to himself.

“Alright Nic I booked the flight” Yelled Safaree

“Ok I’m ready” Nicki Yelled back

Safaree called the bell hop to come help them get their luggage down to the truck. 5 mins later the bell hop came and all three of them went down to the parking garage and put everything into the truck and Nicki got in the truck.

“Oh wait I forgot to check out I’ll be right back” Safaree said running off

“What a coon” Nicki said to herself smiling.

10 mins later Safaree came back got in the truck and they left to get to the airport. About 10 mins of riding in silence Safaree spoke.

“So um Nick…”

“Yes Faree?” Nicki said back

“About that kiss…um I really didn’t mean anything I don’t want us to be awkward I think I just got caught up in the moment of excitement ya know?” Said Safaree

“Yeah I understand I think I did too but it wasn’t that bad but ok its forgotten lets move on.” Nicki said smiling at SB

“Ok good but Yo!! You’re gonna be in fucking Young Money wit Wayne!!” said Safaree

“I know Faree!! I’m soooo excited!! This is my dream and it’s finally coming true!!” said Nicki

“Well you did speak it into existence.” Said Safaree

“Belee dat woe” Nicki said in her cocky voice

About 45 mins later they arrived at the airport went through security and everything and boarded their plane. It was only about a 2 hour flight back to New York but Nicki was tired from all the excitement plus it was 11 p.m. so she went to sleep while Safaree danced in his seat while playing Tap Tap on his iPod. SB softly shook Nicki to wake her.
“Nicki we’re back” Safaree said softly

“Oh ok I’m up” Nicki said stretching and getting up

After Safaree and Nicki got all their luggage they had Nicki’s best friend come pick them up from the airport and they both told her everything on the ride back home. She was happy but sad too because her best friend was leaving her. Nicki’s friend stayed and helped them pack for about an hour though and she told them right before she left to save her a room once they get settled in ATL. 3 hours and two 30 min naps later Nicki and Safaree were finally done packing up smaller things and they’d have the bigger stuff sent out later or they might just leave it here for when they come back from time to time. Its 6 a.m. and Nicki and Safaree have no idea what to do.

“Faree I don’t know what to do” whined Nicki

“Me neither Nic” said Safaree

“How about we just leave now! We can use the extra money we have and just get a hotel room. Well by the time we get there it’ll be almost. *Nicki counted on her fingers* almost 9 so we could just call Wayne then.” Said Nicki

“Alright Nick lets go. But let’s get something to eat on the way to the airport.” Said Safaree

“Ok lemme call up Kandi real quick and ask her if she can come over and be here when the movers come.”

“Ok I’ll meet you in the truck.” Safaree told Nicki while he grabbed some of their bags and walked out the door. After Nicki was done calling Kandi she grabbed what was left of the bags and looked around at the house one more time and went out the door and to the car with Safaree. They ate at iHop and made their way to the airport checked in, went through security, and got on the plane. Nicki was thinking to herself.

“This was just a lil too easy is it really happening?” She asked herself “Well guess I’ll just go along with it and find out”

Safaree's Mind

Safaree’s (internal) P.O.V.

I just stood there holding her. “She just looks soo beautiful when she’s beyond happy I hope I can make her like that one day” I thought “Wait what am I saying…” I just kept rambling in my head. Then I felt her pull back and I stared into her eyes and started leaning forward. “I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m starting to feel something for Onika.” “Lets just see what will happen if I do this. I know she feels something for me too.” I kept looking into her eyes until I felt my lips touch hers. “She’s so short and she hasn’t pulled back yet that’s a good sign. Maybe this will work out.”

It's Finally Happening

Chapter 2
 “Oh shit I fucked it up!! They hated it!! This was my chance and I blew it!!” I thought.

“Damn ma that was DOPE!” Yelled Baby I smiled shocked and said thank you and looked back over to Wayne who was still silent but nodding in approval. Finally he spoke.

“Miss Lewinski... *Wayne laugh* that was sick ma.” Said Wayne

“Thank you!!” I said “but Lewinski?”

“Yeah I’m the president and you can be the mistress like Monica Lewinski.” Said Wayne I just laughed hoping he was just joking. 

“So how soon you think you can come to Atlanta?” asked Wayne

“Wait what!?!” I asked excited

“How soon you think you can come out to ATL I wanna work with you and see what else you got and what else you can do. So how soon?” Said Wayne

“Yo-...! I can be out here in like a day! I just gotta pack!” I told him I looked over at SB “oh um Safaree can come with me too right? He’s my hype man and best friend. I never go anywhere without him.”

“Yeah ma as long as it’ll get you out here bring whatever and whoever you need with you. I gotta get you before someone else does because you sick ma!” Said Wayne. He picked up a duffle bag and handed it to me. I looked inside and saw a bunch of stacks. “Wha-“I stared but was cut short by Wayne.

“It’s for your flight back home to pack and your flight to Atlanta and then just a lil extra.” Explained Wayne. “When you get to Atlanta hmu and I’ll tell you how to get to the mansion.

“Wait mansion?” I asked

“Yeah when you get there you’ll meet the rest of Young Money and you’ll stay at the YM Mansion for now.” Said Wayne

“Belee dat! Sounds good I’ll be back ASAP!” I exclaimed

We went over all the extra information and then Safaree and I were escorted out of the studio. I tried to keep it cool but once I was out of the building I jumped on Safaree. “Safaree! Do YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!?!” “IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!! I GET TO WORK WITH WAYNE! Wayne nigga WAYNE!!”

He just hugged me and then I pulled back and saw him staring at me with a look in his eyes that I never seen before. Or maybe I just never noticed. Then he started leaning in and his lips were getting closer. “Wait what is he doing!?”  I thought to myself but immediately stopped when I felt his soft lips on mine.
